The quadrennial IODC is an important meeting in optical design for engineers, scientists and designers. Topics include illumination system theory, design and fabrication, surface representation in lens design, freeform optics and more.

A public presentation on the METAMORPHA project has been released, which describes the project objectives and technical topics. This initial version will be updated with results as the project continues.
The 7th UKP Workshop Ultrafast Laser Technology is organised and hosted by METAMORPHA Coordinator Fraunhofer ILT. The event will focus on processes and systems that can help companies capitalize on the full range of laser performance, such as high speed scanning or suitable beam shaping.
Interesting presentations will provide valuable know-how about selecting the right laser source or individually modifying the laser beam profile in time and space in order to have optimal process conditions. Furthermore, experts will discuss how to push the boundaries of today’s ultrafast laser process engineering.

SPIE Photonics West is one of the largest annual photonics events in the world. It covers a wide range of topics: biomedical optics, biophotonics, industrial lasers, optoelectronics, microfabrication, MOEMS-MEMS, displays, and more.
The project held its KO meeting at Fraunhofer ILT 01-02 Sep-2022. It was great to get back to meeting new and old colleagues face-to-face after so many online meetings! The project will hold plenary meetings twice a year, with many other technical meetings and calls as required.
