Paul Buske from RWTH is one of four finalists (and the only one from Europe) for the Best Student Paper Award at the International Optical Design Conference (IODC 2023). His paper was on Diffractive Neural Networks Built from Spatial Light Modulators for Laser Beam Shaping in the NIR and VIS.

This is the first in a series of newsletters, released approximately twice per year, so please check back for updates.
A public presentation on the METAMORPHA project has been released, which describes the project objectives and technical topics. This initial version will be updated with results as the project continues.
A new METAMORPHA LinkedIn page has been set up to extend the dissemination activities of the project. We will add posts to this page during the course of the project. Please feel free to join the page for updates and inform your colleagues of the project!!
The project held its KO meeting at Fraunhofer ILT 01-02 Sep-2022. It was great to get back to meeting new and old colleagues face-to-face after so many online meetings! The project will hold plenary meetings twice a year, with many other technical meetings and calls as required.
